Eligible traders in the United States can now trade crypto perpetuals around the clock on Crypto.com, with up to 5x leverage and no expiry date on the contracts. The launch matters because perps were the one big crypto product Americans mostly had to watch from the sidelines, and now another major platform is bringing them inside US rules.
Key points:
- Crypto.com and OG.com rolled out US crypto perpetuals on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, for eligible US traders.
- The contracts offer up to 5x leverage, trade 24/7, and carry take-profit, stop-loss and isolated margin.
- Trading runs through OG.com's CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse, with Crypto.com registered as an introducing broker.
The rollout started today across both the Crypto.com App and the Crypto.com Exchange. Retail users get the simpler App view, while advanced traders get the Exchange tools, but the contracts underneath are the same: continuous, non-expiring bets on crypto prices, long or short.
With 5x leverage, a trader puts up one-fifth of the position size and borrows the rest, so small price moves get magnified in both directions. That is why the built-in controls matter here: traders can set a take-profit and a stop-loss before they enter, and isolated margin keeps the risk of one trade from spilling into the rest of an account.

This did not happen in a vacuum. In May, the CFTC opened US markets to crypto perpetuals, then approved Kalshi's bitcoin perps and gave Coinbase no-action relief for digital commodity derivatives. Kraken followed in June after buying Bitnomial, and now Crypto.com joins that list through OG.com, whose exchange and clearinghouse are CFTC-regulated.
What happens next?
Two things are still unclear, and traders will watch both. The launch release did not spell out exactly who counts as eligible or which tokens are supported at launch, so the first days of volume will answer that. Beyond crypto, OG.com's Nadex registered with the SEC last month to trade security futures, and chief executive Kris Marszalek has said single-stock perpetuals are also in the works.
