The firm that put BlackRock's tokenized fund on a blockchain just gave Stellar a seat at the same table. Securitize now supports Stellar next to Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche, and that puts one more big name behind tokenized shares and bonds.
Key points:
- Securitize added Stellar to the chains it supports, next to Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.
- Stellar already hosts the fourth-biggest set of tokenized real-world assets, and Franklin Templeton and MoneyGram already use it day to day.
- No date yet for the first Securitize assets on Stellar. That is the part traders will watch.
Securitize turns real things, like shares, bonds and funds, into tokens that trade like crypto. It is best known for running BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized money-market fund. The firms shared the news at Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation's yearly meet in Lisbon. Securitize chief Carlos Domingo said Stellar built the fourth-largest set of tokenized real-world assets, and he tied that to rising demand from big investors.
Stellar's pitch is speed and control. The firms say assets on Stellar can be set up with customer checks, clawbacks and sanctions rules built in. That mix is why Franklin Templeton runs a tokenized money-market fund there, and why MoneyGram moves money across it daily. For funds that must know who holds their tokens, those controls are the whole point.
My own read is this: Chains do not win this race with hype, they win it when big funds actually put real assets on them. Stellar just got one more reason for funds to look its way, but the proof comes when the first Securitize assets land there.

Why does Stellar matter for big money?
Stellar has sat in the shadow of Ethereum and Solana for years, but tokenized assets are where it has quietly done well. Just yesterday, Janus Henderson put a tokenized Nasdaq-100 fund on Stellar too, so this is now the second big Stellar tokenization story in two days. That run of news is what makes this one worth more than a one-line note.
